GCN Presenters' Bikes – Simon Richardson's Specialized Tarmac SL3

The bikes of Dan, Matt, Tom and Simon always cause a bit of a stir, but what exactly are they riding? Here's Simon Richardson's workhorse Specialized Tarmac SL3.

Simon's Specialized Tarmac SL3 is a relic of his last year of racing – it was his training bike in 2012. That explains much of the kit on there, the Mavic wheels, the Campagnolo groupset and the 3T components that were team sponsors.

Since then though, Simon's changed a few things, mostly in search of a bit more comfort for his ageing (31 year old) bones. His position has come back by 10mm and up by 5mm, and his tyres are now 25c instead of 23c.

This bike is no longer top of the range, but it's much loved, and Simon tells us the reasons why.
