Road biking vs Mountain biking

Answering JonC's question, 'the difference between riding a rode bike vs a mountain bike.

I forgot to mention one thing. While on a rode bike ride a few months ago, a friend brought one of his friends on the ride. He mentioned to me 'hey, your pretty fast on the road bike (Downhill) for being a 'new' rider'. I replied 'I transferred by mountain biking skills to the road bike'.

Just saw this one, a 'crit' race where a road biker was going into the turn too hot and was leaning into the turn.
